Update: This listing is very out of date. Why not check out one of these Mercedes 190 2.3-16's on eBay right now:
Of course I'm joking about their rarity, but when you're on the constant look-out, there's more to find than I'd expect. And as a modern collectable, $9k is a pretty cheap entry price if she checks out.
This is an immaculate, guard's red, 911 Carrera coupe, still very fast. Being sold by the original, non-smoking owner. Carefully maintained, original paint and black leather interior, custom wheels, high performance tires. Picture shows sheepskin seat covers, but leather seats are in excellent condition. No accidents or body work ever done, always garaged, never driven in snow. As you'll understand after seeing the photos, this car still turns heads.
Miles aren't really that bad and a one owner car is usually a good sign. And what else are you going to get for $15k that is anywhere near as cool?!
If you want a reliable, fast, fun, and economical car (amazing to get all that in one car!), this Mercedes 16v is the car for you. The car drives and sounds like a stock Mercedes 16v, except power delivery is smoother, the idle is better, it is more reliable than stock, and it has more power! In all my years of ownership, the car has never left me stranded and has always started up and driven smoothly.
If this car runs and well as the owner reports and has the receipts to back up the work, this could be a really fun car and a serious consideration if you're shopping for an e30 M3 for sale! While I think the $13.5k buy-it-now might be a tad on the high side for a car with extensive mods and moderate miles, but the owner states his reserve is at $7500. Currently at $3150 with 5 days remaining.
Update 2.25.2008: Reserve was lowered and winning bid was only $7100! The pictures and description certainly suggested it was worth more.
Yamaha FZR OW01 (pictured), Laverda Jota, Honda RC 30, BMW K-1, Suzuki GSX-RR, and Ducati 851 Tri-color, to name a few! Prices appear to be on the high side, but maybe you could get a discount if you purchased them all
At $20k CAD, that's nearly $20k US (Gotta love the shit U.S. exchange rate right now ) Given this cars rarity and seemingly great condition, it's got to be close to worth that. Granted, you'd have to be the biggest MK2 Golf fanboi of all time, but I can see it.
Clean, well documented, one of a kind car. One of only 533 built. Signed by famous German Racer Hans Stuck. This is production number 062 of this true Alpina B6 2.8 (E-21).
Remember this car? I did, and so did long time dancrouchblog.com reader, Neil, who dug up these2005 links for this car that sold two years ago for $28k (Thanks Neil!)
I often admire the simplicity, reliability, and stunning performance of the Honda S2000. My wife and I have owned and loved two Honda Preludes, so I guess I'm a bit predisposed to the S2000 without having even driven one; I know it won't disappoint.
Scanning classifieds returns many very clean, low mileage, and under $20k examples. Like these:
And then on the way out of work the other day, I spotted an Acura Integra and realized I had nearly forgotten about the fantastic Acura Integra Type R. And I realized I had forgotten about them because I had pretty much dismissed them -- I figured there weren't any unmolested examples left. And by unmolested, I mean not totally beat on and/or heavily modified.
So what do you think? As the S2000 and ITR are sharing the $15-20k price-point for clean examples, which would you pick? Which is the better driver's car? Leave a comment!

This car has some respectable previous owners and a long list of expensive replacement and upgrade parts. But with 123k miles, cracked leather seats, and ASA wheels, is it really worth $39k buy-it-now?! I know that engine build ran well into the 'teens, but e30 M3 prices don't go that high unless the car is absolutely perfect. And even then, it's ridiculous jack to spend on any e30 in my opinion. Maybe he just has a sense of humor
Update 2.15.08:Reserve has been lowered, buy-it-now is now $30.9k, and current bid is at ~$17k. 1 day left.
