No question about it Neil, if I was going to drop that kind of coin on a collector car like this, I'd make damn sure to get PPI done and maybe even try to get contact with the previous owner.

I'd go with the $25k ish estimate also. The problem I have with this car is that it's listed by what appears to be a small-time dealer. If it was by the original or even latest owner I'd be more inclined to be trusting. I wonder if the guys on s14.net know the car or have any comments?

Other comments: Is it just me, or does the black leather have a hint of grey/blue? Could be lighting, but it just doesn't seem black enough. Even worn/cracked interiors I've seen looked blacker. Perhaps the leather cleaner/conditioner used caused it? The only photo that really looks like henna is the one showing the paint sticker on the shock tower. I know henna is hard to photograph, and lighting, individual computer screens, etc. can have an affect, but it just looks too red and not orange enough. What I'd like to see is the VIN sticker in the door jamb showing build date. Not to validate the build date, but to see if it has had a respray. It's very rare to find a respray where there hasn't been even a little bit of over spray on that sticker.

I'm encouraged by the fact that there are still low mile hennas out there... unless this is the last one! If we go into recession, I wonder if this would be a better investment than my 401k.....
