Just spotted via the VWVortex forums, here’s a car I’d love to snag: An unmolested, one owner, 52k mile CRX in yellow. Paul and I had a friend in college that had a low mileage car EXACTLY like this one and it was a blast to drive. Spirited acceleration, go cart handling, and great Honda ergos on the inside.
$11k sounds high to me but they’re accepting bids. Considering super clean MKII GTi’s can fetch 7-9k these days when they surface, I’d put this in a similar category value wise. I’ll be watching to see if it sells for sure!
P.S. New Years Resolution: Post more on this blog! I’m going to be less winded and hopefully more frequent as a result. For anyone still subscribing, thank you for hanging on and I hope to make this a cool place to hang out again this year. Feel free to friend me over at Facebook too if you like, just shoot me a note with the invite so I know who you are 🙂 -dc
Paul’s XKE roadster is now on eBay. It was a lot of fun photographing his car and editing the video. It’s not going to win any Academy Awards, but for a second ever effort, I was happy to end up with a video that clearly demonstrated the abilities and condition of the car.
Bid on this car now and good luck with the sale Paul! It’s a really fun car and I hope it finds a good home.
This post has generated the most comments ever on a single post on my website. The seller is quote eccentric in his presentation and demands of the potential bidders. It’s a very rare opportunity to own a new 1992 KR1-S for sure!

Mike hits the Las Vegas Mid-America auction and files his report. He is definitely inspiring me to make this a company trip next year! Great post Mike, thanks so much for the first hand account!
German Cars For Sale Blog
Steve McQueen’s 1970 Porsche 911S is being offered soon at auction and the classic car blog world is abuzz. We didn’t miss it either! We’ll be keeping an eye on the result of this sale for sure.
This eBay auction for an e30 M3 w/ S52 Conversion (performed by nationally recognized Schneller) just went no reserve for a tick over $15k. Considering the e30 M3 market suddenly seems to tolerate prices of $30k, this one looks like a bargain in my eyes. Sure it lacks the originality, and many would argue the 6 cylinder up front diminishes the balance of the car, but I think Alpina proved with the B6 3.5S that any such obstacles would fade to the back of your mind with a romp on the loud pedal. Plus nearly all of the modifications jive with my personal tastes: Subtle, OEM+, and reliable. Naturally a car like this requires a thorough inspection, but if the paint is really the biggest obstacle with this example, someone scored.
