Paul’s XKE roadster is now on eBay. It was a lot of fun photographing his car and editing the video. It’s not going to win any Academy Awards, but for a second ever effort, I was happy to end up with a video that clearly demonstrated the abilities and condition of the car.
Bid on this car now and good luck with the sale Paul! It’s a really fun car and I hope it finds a good home.
I know that’s a corny intro, but it just doesn’t get much better for a car enthusiast and web guy like me. I get to hang out photographing beautiful cars, being involved in a wonderful event for a great cause, and enjoying the unreal hospitality of our hosts, Shane and Karen. My wife and I keep looking at each other in disbelief as each turn provides another unexpected surprise and opportunity to share.
Here are the pictures from today. Not as much hands on because we were busy helping setup. But we’ll more than make up for after tomorrow, stay tuned!
New Years Day I took a trip down to the Sports Car Shop in Eugene. My close friend Paul works there and the owner, Bob, approached me about pictures that they needed for a couple of the incoming cars. One of the cars is a 2006 Jaguar S Type R:
I’m a ‘prosumer’ quality photographer with only a little gear in my bag. But considering the equipment, I’m okay with how these turned out. Especially this close up of the leaping cat and Jag badge. I made wallpapers out of these in 1680 and 1152 resolutions:
The standard engine is a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 rated at 400 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission sends the power to the rear wheels. Performance is exemplary, with a 0-to-60 time of just 5.3 seconds, according to Jaguar, and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
I’ll be going back down to shoot outdoors later this week. I’ll get details then regarding price, miles, etc… Stay tuned!
