And for the last of the craigslist gray market specials, this uber-rare Alpina B7 For Sale on Craigslist:
1981 Alpina B7 turbo sedan. Authentic Alpina car from Germany, very rare and original numbers matching car. One of 209 B7 and B7S’s built between 1978-1982. This is car #209. Sapphire blue metallic with cloth interior. This model was touted as the worlds fastest sedan with a top speed of nearly 160 mph in 1978. Close ratio 5 speed tranny, limited slip differential with oil cooler, full Alpina suspension and wheels, turbocharged and intercooled 300hp, 3.0 liter engine with adjustable boost control. One of maybe 10 in the USA. Car in very good condition cosmetically and mechanically. I’ve owned this car for at least 7 years but rarely use it except for shows. I have too many cars and something needs to go to a new home. Email for more details or photos. I maybe interested in a partial trade up/down with the following older classic Marques (BMW, Austin Healey, Triumph, Lotus, Jaguar, MG ( pre 1960), Mopar (pre 1973 Plymouth or Dodge muscle), I might be willing to consider a 2000-2003 Audi TT coupe or ? Let me know what you have. Thanks for looking!
This is a very special car and early Alpina’s are very scarce in this country. This one looks very sharp and original, but I think $18500 is rather optomistic.

You have Alpina lust these days!
On a side note I was in at BMW Eugene picking up some oil filters and they have the entire M lineup in their show room right now. MZ4, M3, M5, & an M6. I kind of stood there drinking my coffee in awe this morning.
I have been in love with Alpina’s since I was in high school, when I read Paul Frere’s Road and Track article on the 7 series based Alpina B11. Later I put together this e34 5 series Alpina model. I’ve lusted after the unattainable ever since! So when these come up for sale in this country, I take a little more note than others I suppose 😀

[…] Just noticed that this car and the Alpina B7 I listed earlier are from the same owner. Maybe the right buyer could get a discount on […]
Hi there, is that alpina still for sale? maybe anyone knows – I know I’m late, but that’s the point on the web – you never know if it’s updated… 🙂
Lars, he was selling a few cars last year and they’ve been on portland.craigslist.com on and off as recently as a few months ago. Good luck!
