Often heralded as the best front driver ever, you just don’t see these come up for sale very often. They’re either garage queens or hammered and modified. This one has coilovers and intake, with an asking of $13.5k
quote from seller’s Craigslist ad:
2000 acura integra type r i’m second owner, clean title. it is all stock but coil overs, password jdm intake, exedy clutch, the rest is all stock, the car is vary well taken care of and is in great shape runs and drives like a dream has oem fog lights i still have window sticker for this car and all vary nice clean car $13,500
Looks sharp in black for sure. If I was a prospective buyer, and sometimes I think I could be, I’d be keeping an eye on the following:
- Carfax is a must. These cars are notorious targets for thieves. Many would say it’s not a matter of if but when the car will be stolen. It’s that bad.
- Mileage. Not that I’m worried about the motor, but asking prices are closer to 10-11k with mileage over 100k.
- Maintenance history. Not that this machine needs expensive regular maintenance, but it is always a good indicator of responsible previous owners who respected this enthusiast vehicle.
Check out this recent thread VWVortex on the Type-R which has lots of interesting information from owners.
