Paul’s 69 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is For Sale

Paul’s XKE roadster is now on eBay. It was a lot of fun photographing his car and editing the video. It’s not going to win any Academy Awards, but for a second ever effort, I was happy to end up with a video that clearly demonstrated the abilities and condition of the car.

Bid on this car now and good luck with the sale Paul! It’s a really fun car and I hope it finds a good home.

1975 BMW 2002 Turbo Conversion: Magazine Worthy

This turbo converted 1975 BMW 2002 on eBay has been previously featured in European Car magazine:

1975 BMW 2002 Turbo / M10 Turbo Engine

This car has been featured in the December 1995 European car magazine, and the November 1998 issue of Turbo and High Tech Performance magazine. It has won numerous car show awards and race events. Before I purchased this California car, it had undergone a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration, there are a few nicks here and there but otherwise beautiful. I recently purchase a new motor for this car which has less than 1000 miles on it, still being broken in. The Mitsubishi Blue and Porsche Silver paint scheme give the car a longer, lower appearance- yet it still passes for a nicely restored stock 02 and can be used as a daily driver. This is the ultimate driving machine… there is no area of the car’s performance that has not been upgraded.
[…]
Top speed over 150 mph, 0-60 around 5 sec, ¼ mile times 13.2 @108mph (with the previous motor…I have not Dyno’d or completed the break-in of the new motor, but we increased the the hp by roughly 25).

Current bid is $11k reserve not met. Considering what other BMW 2002’s have sold for that I’ve referenced on this blog, I’m guessing at best $15k on this one. If the car is still as sharp as it was in the article from years ago, maybe a few thousand higher. Any other guesses out there? Leave a comment!

Stunning car! With a 13 second quarter mile and all the right suspension bits, this car is serious competition at any track day!

Update: Car did not meet reserve at $15.6k.

1990 Audi Coupe Quattro: Killer RS2 Clone!

The Audi S2 and RS2 were never imported to the states. This recreation is about as close as you could likely get and nearly no expense was spared in its development as the extensive modification list details.

[…] The car has been awesome for me. It really is everything I want and it is definitely a head-turner to everyone. However, now just isn’t the time with an infant and the purchase of a house. I never tracked the car and didn’t even drive it much. I put maybe 2k miles on it since I bought it in May of ’07 and it has been in the garage since. I just had it into Redmond Werkshop for an oil change and they checked everything over and said it all looked good (fluid levels, CV’s, etc.).

ASKING $20,000
I AM TAKING OFFERS! However, please do not lowball me and I will not part anything out. I also have a book full of receipts from time of swap, as well as an itemized list with prices. To rebuild this car would cost over $30k.

I am located in Seattle

Follow the link above for quite an impressive list of work and rare parts. The standouts in my mind are the rebuilt S4 long block, the 6 speed transmission, RS2 bodywork, and numerous replacement/upgrades of related parts.

It’s always difficult to put a price on a completed, personal project car like this one. No doubt if it were an authentic, gray market, and plated car, it would be worth more. But many of the choices made with this car, like the unusual Audi gray, sport buckets, and wheel selection are very individual in taste. But for $20k and the list of rare and rebuilt components, it’s got to be a bargain to the right buyer.
